FRESH FICTION WRITING COMPETITION
The Fresh Fiction Writing Competition invited young writers aged 7-12, teens aged 13-17, and adults 18+ from across Australia to submit original fiction pieces inspired by the theme “A Touch of Magic.” Kids and teens entered stories between 500-1000 words, while adults submitted between 1000-1500 words. Prizes included $150 for kids, $300 for teens, and $500 for adults. Submissions closed on 29 June 2024, with winners announced in Term 3, 2024.

UKIYO AND MYWS SPIRIT STORIES WRITING COMPETITION
In 2023, Melbourne Young Writers’ Studio teamed up with Ukiyo, Melbourne’s top escape room, to bring you an immersive and imaginative series of school holiday programs. The Spirit Stories Story Competition was open to those who attended in the 2023 winter school holidays.
